We completed our agile transformation in 2018, and this step is paying off in a major way in the current pandemic. We transformed the experience gained in our own transition and in customer projects into hands-on agility services for our customers.

For 30 years, metafinanz conformed with the traditional hierarchical business structure. Then we made a complete turnaround. Today, we manage our business in a distributed manner. We also abolished plans and budgets and have redefined our leadership.
In short, we created a fundamentally new vision of organization that relies on entrepreneurship and self-organization. The resulting short decision-making channels have made us faster, more flexible and brought us even closer to our customers.

I’m a Bavarian with a global mindset, a grown child bursting with tech affinity, and a compassionate humanitarian. Loyal, passionate, curious, open, playful and empathetic. Drawing on my expertise in the fields of innovation and digitization, I inspire, connect and empower people and organizations in their transformation initiatives as a keynote speaker, workshop facilitator, guide and coach. As a networker, I am co-founder of the Digitale Stadt München association promoting a digital Munich and the Konzernaustausch Selbstorganisation business association for the promotion of self-organized work.

I am Michael. Family man, loyal, down-to-earth, ambitious and full of drive. I turn this drive into forward momentum, such as going on a non-stop bicycle trip across the USA. Before joining metafinanz, I was a manager at a very traditional company. Ever since coming here in 2015, my view of organizations, and ultimately even my career, has fundamentally changed. I supported and shaped the transformation of metafinanz into an agile organization from day one, taking on a broad set of roles throughout this process. I now work as an organizational consultant and agility coach. I assist companies in rethinking the concept of work, questioning established modes of operation and finding new solutions for the future of work.
I hold a degree in design and communication strategy, so I know the ins and outs of how to shape physical and mental spaces. I am an inquisitive person who always questions established structures and the status quo. I am an agile native and appreciate being part of a learning organization like metafinanz. In my work as an organizational developer and agility coach, I guide people to discover and shape new worlds of work.
